
Al-Jazira first football team has defeated the Swiss team Servette FC 2-0 in the friendly match which was held at Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium. Tarek Ahmed made the first goal in the 56th minute and the Ahmed Jumaa made the second in the 58th minute.
The friendly match witnessed three red cards; one card for Al-Jazira player Yaser Matar in the 55th minute and two for the Servette team; Schneider in the 69th minute and Kasonga in the 71st minute.
Al-Jazira line-up consisted of Khalid Snani, Ali Salem Al-Amiri, Khalid Sabeel, Abdullah Musa, Jumaa Abdullah, Yaser Matar, Ibrahim eid, Hamad Al-Akbari, Ibrahim Diaky, Sobis and Ahmed Jumaa. Michael Beauchamp, Abdullah Mal Allah, Tarek Ahmed, Abdullah Al-Seiari, Abdullah Qasem and Ahmed Dada joined the match later on.
Servette team consisted of Gonzales Davids, Rotis, Lionel, Matis, Zafir, Marco Antonio, Tiand, Steve, Julian, Kasonga and Schneider. Boris, Tibret, Gershock, Teri, Marcos, Francios, Audi and Anthony joined in later.
The Al-Jazira Brazilian player Rafael Sobis has showed a good performance and relieved his fans that he is back after six month stop when he was injured while facing Al-Ain rival in the Etisalat Pro-League 2008/09.
H.E Mohammed Thani Al-Rumeithi attended the match accompanied by the board members Hamad Al-Hur Al-Suweidi, Tarek Ahmed Al-Masaud, Omar Al-Muheiri and Saeed Bin Shiban.
