Keizer: We Are Happy to be part of the UAE Super Cup Match

Al Jazira coach Marcel Keizer has faced the media today ahead of this weekend's massive Super Cup clash against Shabab Al Ahli. On Friday, Al Jazira, champions of ADNOC Pro League, and Shabab Al Ahli, champions of the President Cup, will go head to head in a blockbuster encounter at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium. The Pride of Abu Dhabi are looking to win the Cup in their 5th try, with Shabab Al Ahli aiming to retain the cup they won last season.

“We are very happy and excited to be part of this prestigious game,” said Marcel Keizer during the pre-game press conference. “Our opponent is a very good team with many creative players, but we are not less than them and we have all the confidence we need to play a good game and fight for victory until the last minute. The team is fit and ready and motivated to give it their best, and we are all looking forward with excitement and enthusiasm to this match”.

“We enjoy playing consecutive matches and now we are enjoying what we are doing in games and training sessions and I think this is why we are playing better now. We will miss some players unfortunately but the overall fitness situation is good”.

“It will be an exciting and enjoyable game of course. The two teams will try to create chances and score goals and of course they the target will be the cup. I know we played this game four times in the past without winning the cup, but we are not thinking about any historical or statistical facts, we are only thinking and focusing on tomorrow’s match”.

“We understand how important this game is for the club and for the fans,” said Bruno Conceicao in the second part of the press conference. “Preparations were good and the players are focused and motivated and we will be completely ready when the time comes. Shabab Al Ahli is a strong team and they will also fight to win the cup, and we know it will be a tough game, but we will be ready and prepared for it”.
