Keizer: We have to react strongly and perform better against Kalba

Al Jazira manager Marcel Keizer insisted his team has to react strongly to the heavy defeat they suffered last week in the League, and perform better when they host Ittihad Kalba tomorrow at the Mohamed bin Zayed stadium as part of the final matchweek of the ADNOC Pro League.

“It was a very disappointing defeat against Al Dhafra, but we have to bounce back and show a strong reaction on Thursday against Kalba and perform better in this match,” said Marcel during the pre-match press conference. “They are strong and they had a good season in the League, and we have to be at our best against them because we want to win the three points and finish the League competition with a victory. After Thursday we will start thinking about the crucial semifinal fixtures against Sharjah, but before that, we will focus only on the Kalba game”.

“We will miss Mohamed Al Attas and Florin Tanase against Kalba, and I will not make big changes to the squad to rest the players for the ADIB Cup matches, we will go as strong as we can against Kalba because we want to win this match and get its three points”.

In the second part of the press conference, Salim Rashid admitted the ADIB Cup matches against Sharjah are very important for the club. He said, “Finishing the season with a title is our main goal because its very important for the team and the club, and the Sharjah match is our opportunity to reach the final and compete for the Cup, but before all this, we have to make sure to play good and perform better against Kalba on Thursday”.
