Keizer: Kalba are physically strong and dangerous in attack

Abu Dhabi: Aug. 24, 2021

Marcel Keizer confirmed that his new player Abdoulay Diaby will miss the trip to Kalba as he is not yet physically fit to feature in his first official match with his new teammates, and he described their next opponent, Ittihad Kalba, as strong and dangerous in attack.

“Kalba played very well in their opening game in the new season, but they lost to Sharjah with a very late goal. They were physically strong and very dangerous when they attack, and we now our match against them will tough, but we will face them with high confidence in ourselves and in our chances in getting back to Abu Dhabi with the three points,” Marcel told the media during yesterday’s pre-game press conference. “

“We will miss the suspended duo Khalfan Mubarak and Bruno Conceicao against Itthald Kalba, and Abdolay Diaby will not available because he is not yet physically ready. He joined us two days ago and he didn’t have a good preseason. We will do our best to improve his fitness levels during the next 2 weeks so he can be ready for Al Nasr game in matchweek 3 of the league.”, added Marcel.

“It is always good to start the season with full squad and four foreign players, but let’s don’t forget that we won the league last season after we started with 2 foreigners only. Having four foreign players doesn’t mean in any way that your team is strong, and we know that and we know we need to have a strong group, not just strong players”.
