Al Ain and Al Jazira shared the points in a tightly contested 1-1 draw on Sunday night at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in Matchweek 23 of the ADNOC Pro League.

Despite Al Ain’s control for much of the first half, it was Al Jazira who broke the deadlock through a moment of brilliance.

Just before the halftime whistle, Nabil Fekir curled in a stunning free-kick to give the visitors a 1-0 lead.

After the break, Al Ain came out with purpose and found their reward in the 60th minute.

Soufian Rahimi met a perfect cross and guided it past the keeper to bring the match level at 1-1.

Rahimi appeared to have scored again in the 71st minute, but his second goal was ruled out for offside following a VAR review.

With this result, Al Ain move to 37 points and hold on to fifth place in the standings.

Al Jazira rise to 33 points and sit in seventh as the ADNOC Pro League enters its final stretch.
