Al Jazira managed a 1-0 win against Sharjah at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in matchweek 18 of the ADNOC Pro League.

This is their second win in a row, which saw their points tally increase to 32 as they moved into the fourth spot with a game in hand, while Sharjah stay in third place on 33 points.

The Pride of Abu Dhabi won the game in the opening 45 minutes, but it was a slow start in a cagey affair.

Sharjah’s Uzbekistan international Otabek Shukurov headed wide in the 35th minute, but it was Bruno de Oliveira who won it three minutes later after a well-constructed move.

Ali Mabkhout almost doubled the score before the break but missed.
Al Jazira pressed on in the second half, with center back Miloš Kosanovic’s free-kick being comfortably saved by Adel Al Hosani in the 53rd minute.

Ousmane Camara missed one of Sharjah's biggest chances, outclassing a few Al Jazira players.

Keeper Abdulrahman Al Ameri saved from Ben Malango with 16 minutes left on the clock.

Al Ameri once again made a save in the closing stages after Khalid Bawazir took a shot, as Sharjah mounted pressure in attempts to salvage a point.

In the dying embers, João Victor could have sealed the win but was flagged offside.
