Goals from Florin Tanase and Abdoulay Diaby guided Al Jazira to secure a 2-0 win over Al Nasr in matchweek nine of the ADNOC Pro League on Friday.

Florin Tanase broke the deadlock for the Pride of Abu Dhabi when he was teed up by Ali Mabkhout inside the box as he kept his composure to pass the ball into the back of the net in the 37th minute.

Seven minutes after the hour-mark, Abdoulay Diaby cemented his side's lead when he fired a powerful strike, which flew past the outstretched hand of goalkeeper Ahmed Shambih.

Al Jazira jumped to the second spot with 17 points, while Al Nasr sit 12th with six points.
