Shabab Al Ahli snatched a 2-1 hard-earned victory over Al Jazira on Tuesday in matchweek 13 of the ADNOC Pro League.

The result leads Shabab Al Ahli to the top of the table with 32 points, while Al Jazira sit fifth with 21 points.

Excitedness was present in the first half, especially in the last fifteen minutes, when three goals were scored to break the silence of the game.

It was Cartabia, who broke the deadlock, after 36 minutes when he was teed up inside the box as his first-time volley was saved by Al Jazira's goalkeeper Ali Khaseif and he nodded the rebound in.

The Pride of Abu Dhabi's response came very quickly two minutes after Cartabia's opener when Khalifa Alhammadi lobbed the ball over the goalkeeper to restore the parity for Al Jazira.

The Dubai-based side refused to go to the dressing rooms before going in front again, and they did so.

Luka Milivojevic volleyed the ball into the back of the net in the first minute of the first half's stoppage time.

The Abu Dhabi-based team made several attempts during the second half to at least secure the points, but Shabab Al Ahli's defense remained resolute, denying any clear opportunities.
