Keizer’s Pre-match press conference: All the quotes

Al Jazira first-team coach Marcel Keizer has fielded questions from journalists ahead of our match away to Al Ain at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium. Al Jazira will make the journey to Al Ain city for a late-night match against the league leaders, in the hope of picking up another three points in their fight to clinch the second place in the table from Al Wahda.

The Dutch manager answered questions about the injured players, the race for second players, and preparations for Al Ain. Here are all the quotes from the press conference he held yesterday at the club.

“We will wait until the Matchday to get the full picture of the injured players Milos, Al Attas and Zayed Al Ameri, and the others, and then we will decide who will be on the match list. It will be a tough match against Al Ain, as always, but we will face them with a winning mentality, and we will try to enjoy ourselves and make our fans also enjoy our performance. We want to return with the three points but we are not thinking about the title race or the second place, as we are focusing only on improving and taking it step by step”.

“The players are exhausted, and this is natural at this late stage of the season considering that we played too many games, nine more than Al Ain for example, but they are doing very well. The youngsters are also doing very well and helping us in training and matches, and they showed they deserve to get chances and playing minutes, and I will make sure to give them that, and also give them time and support”.

“We are not preparing in any different way for Al Ain match, we faced them three times this season and we know how they play, and they know how we play. I don’t know Al Ain had to fight hard to beat Al Dhafra 1:0 and to be honest I didn’t even think about it. I am thinking only about my team and my players and how to prepare them in the best possible way to help them give the team their best during matches”.
